i'm making a mothman

i've had this idea for a few years now, and i'm so excited to finally be bringing it to life! here's the idea:

what's the inspo?

my inspo for the whole fit is to make a mothman inspired outfit mainly from crochet and thrifted lace. the idea is to lean more into the moth aspects of mothman, putting you in mind of how moths eat fabric. i want to be lacy and fluffy and a little bit creepy. mainly i'm having a lot of fun with it.

the plan:

i'm going to make several pieces for this fit, a lacy crochet top, a tiered skirt that's mixed crochet, thrifted lace, and regular fabric, a mothwing shawl that's mixed crochet and thrifted lace, a fluffy ruff, and an antennae headband. i might also make a matching bag, because i like being able to carry my stuff around. I already have some accessories, including a pair of round red sunglasses, and i've been ideating a makeup look to bring the whole thing together. there's a lot i still have to do, but i'm thrilled to be able to move forward!!
